@Argus usually within some three days. when I myself was a mod, that was also my average response time.

@anarchiv this is great, thanks. How big an instance were you in when when you reported?

@Argus Todon must have had about 4000 registered accounts back then. Much fewer active members though. I haven't used the report feature in a while...

@Argus I've mostly reported spam accounts and didn't check when they were dealt with so I don't know

@Argus It does occur to me now though that I haven't needed to report anyone in a while and my sense of time *is* quite borked, so what might've felt less than an hour could possibly have been closer to a day.

Either way, "timely" is an apt description. Blows moderation of spyware platforms out of the water, waiting a week then getting an automatic "sorry but no lol" response.

@OTheB Thank you! Yeah, I flagged a call for violence on twitter about 36 hours ago, still no action taken.

@Argus IIRC every time the response was within a day

@Argus unsure? indefinite? it's usually an issue happening on another instance, and i don't hear back from them ever.

@Argus it took between a couple of hours and a couple of days.
It depends what the issue is, timezone etc.

Once it took a week, because the admin was on holiday I think

@Argus Often minutes, if my own admin could block the person/instance. I've seen her quickly share #fediblock recommendations based on stuff I'd reported too.

@Argus I think I wrote 3-4 reports, never got a response. Didn't request one, though. What would I need it for?

@tercean thanks for this! Some people want follow up to know action has been taken, although I'm finding that many people haven't gotten feedback. What sort of content have you reported, and to whom?

@Argus I've never gone back to check if anything happened to an account I reported so I don't know whether they were responded to, I usually report and block and forget

@Argus response time for me is pretty quick, because I moderate this instance!

So far we've been pretty OK as far as I know, we've not had any real issues needing moderation beyond some spam accounts from other instances.

@Argus I can only remember one time really. It was a spam account. Not a clue how fast it was handled. I also blocked the account on my side, so it didn't bother me anymore anyhow. I did check a whole while later and the account was removed. So it seems action was taken, but I don't know when.
