@kde After using KDE Neon on my desktop for a couple of weeks and really enjoying it, I decided to give it a shot on my ancient laptop, figuring it would be too much for the poor thing to handle.
Holy crap, the optimization done to KDE have been seriously awesome. I haven't even needed to turn off the desktop effects, and the desktop is snappy and responsive and awesome! Amazing work by the community!

@ykoda yes yes yes. It's been a slow journey for many of us who were raised on FLOSS interactions of the BOFH sort to realize that was unhealthy. When we work together for each other and with each other, we all do better work.. and sleep better at night. :) I hope the next generation of devs has better role models than my gen had in the 1990s and 2000s.
Devs of the world, cast off your jerks. You have nothing to lose but a lot of unpleasant interactions that keep other people from doing good work.
