My biggest UI annoyance these days is stuff re-arranging under my finger just as I’m about to tap.

We need to avoid that more, and if we can’t, indicate UI in flux better, e.g. using progress indicators.

@uliwitness +1 this is especially important on touchscreen mobile interface, which are like the automatic transmission of computers, keyboard and mouse being analogous to manual transmission (command line being equivalent to pre-gearshift vehicles with only one gear and a hand crack for ignition).

@uliwitness Best suggestion I've seen is for touch to register *not* on what *is* under your finger, but what *was* there, 300ms before.
