I know diff algorithms are hard, but I sure wish Git and the other differs I use recognized comma-separated lists and didn’t mark the previous line as changed just because a comma was added to allow for the next item. (Just a display change, of course it needs merging)
@uliwitness do you know about `git diff --word-diff=color`?
@uliwitness Mercurial has a nice feature, where it lets you run a code auto-formatter of your choice on both files before diffing them — this way you only see the relevant changes, and not formatting stuff.
@uliwitness Yeah a lot of my coding standard choices (like trailing commas) have to do with eventual diffs and merges :/
