It's astounding how much a newborn staggers your ability to give a damn about much else. If I'm not holding my child I'm either doing chores or squeezing in what little work I can do in that I can.
I ended up putting my SIM & SD card back into my broken old smart phone because if you're too busy to find a computer, or only have one hand, it's the fastest way to stay on top of communication or coordinating efforts. Not even my passion for using free software matters as much, and yet, I am happy.
@trevdev yes! That! I've had exactly the same epiphany about myself when I became a father. I tried to describe that to others, but I understood it was one of those things one should experience for themselves to understand.
