@nolan I've seen some arguments that the web should "slow-down". That is to say browser vendors don't need to rush forward with new APIs to do what can be done in a native app. Personally I think the web is still the best place for consuming written content. There's still a very slow adoption of service-workers and offline support. When that improves I'm hopeful people on mobile will be happier. I certainly can't see a world where "web apps" win though.
