Version 6.3 of the #xmpp #ios client #SiskinIM just got released and with several fixes (clicking on links, crashes with markdown formatting, sharing in public groups, issues with message corrections and groupchat layout)
New week, new guide - this time in English: https://xmppeinrichtung.blogspot.com/2021/01/installation-and-configuration-of.html #XMPP #SiskinIM
Monal and Siskin are the most actively developed ones. Siskin is my recommendation currently.
Already available via #brew and as download from github: https://github.com/tigase/beagle-im/releases/tag/5.0-b111
New versions of #XMPP #jabber clients for #Apple #ios and #macos released. Biggest changes are introduction of XMPP #MIX (modern way of groupchats), significant improvements in audio/video calls and message editing/deleting.
Check out https://tigase.net/beagleim-4.0-and-siskin-6.0-released/ for details.
Read on to find out why MIX is great and what problems it solves https://tigase.net/tigase-im-mix/
PS. xmpp.cloud is packed with features: *free* domain hosting, file uploads, TURN/STUN server for your audio/video calls, 100% XMPP compliance and high availability cluster so you won't have to worry about downtime - and it's powered by #Tigase #XMPP Server
After testing Siskin and Monal for a few days, my impression is that XMPP is now way more usable on iOS than it was back in the days. Many thanks to @tigase for their great work on Siskin IM.

We like to make things to scale, in fact we are little bit too obsessed with optimizations.
