Repeating myself maybe; working in #DevOps taught me two main lessons.
One: if you don't measure a thing, you can't credibly improve it. You probably don't even know if it works.
Two: efficiency and reliability are fundamentally at odds. Spare capacity is wasted capacity - until you need it.
Rightly or wrongly, I've internalized these principles and believe they very hold true well outside the domain of "tech."
Businesses are code which runs on people. Society (& the economy) is a network...
Just to confuse the namespace out there, I think I'll invent a programming language called "Full Stack"
