I have been wondering: how quickly could a site like Facebook die? I think it could happen very quickly, if there were an alternative platform. Once the network effect shifts from Facebook to something else, it's basically Myspace city. The challenge is establishing that network effect somewhere else.
Starting today, we'll use our forum at http://socialhub.network/c/funkwhale for for most of the community and project discussions, instead of Gitlab.
We learned that Gitlab (and developper-centric) platform are not a great when it comes to involve everyone.

Interesting that „provide our Services“ is listed separate from „pursue legitimate business purposes“. Certainly because of … users are not asked for their consent?
