tried to create an instagram account, and the first try got deactivated for violating their terms before i even got to setting a password??
the next one got deactivated after setting a password.

now both my preferred usernames are taken by half-existing deactivated accounts.

One of our people is a .NET main ... have found several forks of the Kroeg server on the internet; is anyone maintaining it? If not, is anyone interested in having it return to life, so to speak?

You shouldn't have to know to maintain and secure a server to have your own independent identity online. You shouldn't need to know what libsodium or similar library to be secure online.

That's my objective.

Support of the open source ecosystem is always a balance between support freedom and having open source things run on closed source OSs. It's possible.
