Which reminds me… growing up in the 1950’s, it was very rare to see severely obese people. When I look at my photographs from this era, what you see are very lean people for the most part

@smays Things were a lot different back then. Fast food was unheard of, health care out of pocket was affordable (though much less advanced than it is now), we didn't have home computers much less something like the internet, there were four major TV networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS) and some independent local stations. Some of those I'd like to go back to, some I definitely would not. (I wasn't born until well into the 1970s, FWIW, so I'm not actually speaking from experience, just what I've read.)
