As usual we have a word in German that perfectly describes what we witnessed tonight.
It's called "Fremdschämen" and it's the vicarious embarrassment you get when you see something so deeply mortifying, you feel embarrassed just watching it.

So, it's #hacktoberfest pretty soon. @sir, is there some form of this that could work on sr.ht, or is it too corporate and a waste of time?
Just looked at some projects on Github and saw that the site no longer advertises a standard git command to copy for repo cloning. Now they encourage the use of 'Github CLI' with the syntax of 'gh repo clone'.
No doubt it's a wrapper around git that will slowly gain features that git won't add because there is no need for them.
They are no longer a 'git hub', they are a 'repo space'.
All leading to the classic, Embrace, Extend, Extinguish.
Ok, imported most of the Krita youtube vids to share.tube. I had waited a bit with this, because I knew #peertube had updated it's importer to also import subtitles and wanted to wait for the instance to update this...
Thing is, youtube's subtitle thing is a virtual hell of confusing buttons and endless js-pageload times, it could take me up to 10min to get the subtitles moved over, even knowing what to do. It's now 10sec to import a single vid+subtitles.
Anyone here can help me with a list of words/descriptions related to mental health, to physical disabilities, and to LGBT folks?
It's for a game. I want to make sure I use terminology that is correct and not offensive.
I'm willing to pay for the gig, although I guess it shouldn't really be a lot of work?
Any help or pointers appreciated, including boosts.
