I get it, you're paying for convenience, but your also paying for ignorance and strange dependency matrix with Github as a single link in the chain.

Is it just me or the modern web actively hostile to people who's web browser assumes the old web? Figma with Qutebrowser is a disaster, and my take away here is that what Figma does should be a desktop app, not a web page. Maybe I just want Figma off my damn lawn?
I kind of fucking love watching NBC's olympic coverage thrash around like a stuck pig with Simone Biles dropping out of the individual all-round. They don't know what to do with themselves because they had all their marbles on being able to show her off. And by marbles, I mean a lot of fucking money.
We're losing our director of engineering to a new opportunity at the end of the week. It's no exageration to say that his impact on me has been life changing and I'm not totally sure how I feel about him leaving. In time it may be less raw, but right now it's all very hard :/
I feel like I'd already own a Framework laptop if it had the option of a Ryzen. So done with Intel.

In news shocking absolutely nobody, paying people to do work increases the amount of work that is done. FLOSS needs so much more of this. It pains me that funding work that has such an obvious benefit is such a struggle.

Just bought a beautiful 1983 Ford F-150. The best part? The 250 page Hayes manual the previous owner gave me that outlines how to take it all apart and put it all back together again! Fuck planned obsolescence and computerized ICE vehicles.
