I've been experimenting with elastomeric reusable #masks for #covid prevention and wrote up some thoughts on the three I've tried so far at https://www.roguelazer.com/2022/08/lets-talk-about-elastomeric-masks/
@roguelazer I also use the Harley L-188 masks. I don't have any trouble with my glasses fogging up when I wear them. Those weak spots where the straps attach are my only complaint; I've had to repair a few of them at work in order to get out of the building.
My repair techniques, so far:
Staples work in a pinch, but aren't great.
Glue plus bits of napkin to reinforce worked best, but then you have to wait for the glue to dry, so this doesn't work when it tears while putting it on to leave.
Usually I sew them back together with a needle and thread. (Fortunately I always have some sewing supplies in my desk.)
Of course I throw out the repaired mask as soon as I get out to the parking lot. It does force me not to reuse them too many times, which is good. 🤷🏻♂️
