as a teen, i fell in love with heinlein's books & they probably helped push me into libertarianism, but after i matured, i couldn't really re-read them because the wrongness of his opinions is directly proportional to how stridently he states them

i've read a similar sentiment elsewhere & i still agree it's the only way you *could* make a movie out of that book: by making it jokey like a comic & letting the viewer think about how unrealistic/cruel it is
