@uranther The way I understand blockchains to work is, at the lowest level, they're linked lists where each node has a hash of the current node's data and a hash of the previous node's data as well. That's great for coins with a CPU based PoW model to secure the network.

Any idea how you could turn leased bandwidth into a mining resource for a hypothetical alt-coin? It could do a lot to incentivize, say, Tor/I2P node ownership if paired with those (or similar) technologies.

@profoundlynerdy Yes we need something like this to incentivize #meshnet node hosting. It would be like proof of routed traffic. The hard part is taking the trust out of that process.
