@prinzpiuz The issue is with people creating a lot of spam pull requests just to get t-shirts. It's doing more harm than help.



@bady one thing rather than pull request is considering those who raising issues too, testing code and making valid issues also is great open source contribution...


@bady there is also an another side like, lot of beginners actually learning git and make their first PR

@prinzpiuz Of course, I appreciate that. I'm not completely against hacktoberfest, just the spam PRs which add no value and give no respect to the time and efforts of the developers. This is actually against 'hacker' ethics. If it needs to be called as hacktoberfest, it should uphold the values of hacker ethics.
