Tip of the day: to avoid receiving a copy of your own messages sent to a #googlegroup from #fastmail, add a discard rule which tests for existence of "list-id" header and a "from address" with your own address, and then uncheck "do not discard messages sent by my contacts".
Last part is important since you are considered a "known sender" by fastmail filters.
On Android I'm trying out #9folders. It is expensive but I must stay it is very good compared to any other alternatives (features and privacy wise).
Only missing is actual support for aliases/identities but you can simply add extra accounts and only use them for sending.
Fastmail helps in this sense since it allows sending via their SMTP and relaying via the thirdparty SMTP and place a copy in Sent folder automatically.
