I wish more programming languages adopted Rust's idea around forcing consistency between the files and modules hierarchy. That consistency is so important to navigate a codebase when it reaches a certain size.

Whether we like it or not Javascript is the language that allows a project to “target” many different platforms with minimal cognitive overload due to shared syntax, patterns, and APIs. The challenge though is providing an integrated experience where you don’t end up with several projects and messing up with releases through NPM. That’s a challenge we took on with @gestaltjs. One repo for multiple targets.
Does anyone have some insights on how Vite manages to use Rollup plugins with ESBuild? Is there some adapting happening internally?
