Tried to read Remix's article comparing it to Next and I'm reminded of the toxicity in the React community I try to avoid. The first thing they say is encouraging people not to talk about Remix with smugness, and the second thing they say is that Remix is categorically better than Next.

I'm sorry, have you heard of the concept of different tradeoffs for different use cases? Even if they legitimately don't have a bad attitude, the communication style is stress-inducingly aggressive.

I managed to quit Facebook, Instagram, and I’d like to put Twitter aside too. I feel the three social networks have carved out the worst out of me and I’ve lost ownership of my attention.

This might be a bit subjective, I continue to find Javascript’s syntax not to be as pleasant to work with as Ruby’s. Does anyone know a Javascript project that challenges the above opinion?

One of my goals for the next years is to retire my parents early. It’s been decades of hard work in a family business from Monday to Sunday, and I don’t want them to continue doing that until the age the government has set, 67.

Building digital experiences that disregard languages is a recipe for a bad accessibility. Because Mastodon is an open source project, its community proposed and contributed some nice improvements in that area.

Next time someone tells you cryptocurrencies and blockchain are about decentralisation, laugh in their faces. Loudly. While pointing at them.

One thing that I don’t like about exporting all package.json’s modules through a module, index.js, that represents the public interface, is that mocking that one mocks everything worsening the ergonomics writing tests.

Reading two pages of a book it’s all I need every night to fall sleep. Even with caffeine on my body.
