Since we now have completed the saga it's time for the mandatory ranking. Here's mine:

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Return of the Jedi
3. The Last Jedi
4. A New Hope
5. The Force Awakens
6. The Rise of Skywalker
7. Revenge of the Sith
8. Attack of the Clones
9. The Phantom Menace

I suggest not watching The Rise of Skywalker unless you're a very forgiving fan. Even so, you would find yourself between being confused of the jumpy script and cringing at stupid characters (except maybe Robert E. Grant).

For once, I would have hoped JJ Abrams to go full-on fanservice mode and not trying to be original.

@nikoheikkila I thought it was good and also very fanservicy. The premise takes quite a bit of suspension of disbelief, but after that I thought the plot works nicely.

@jonne Yeah, the plot was rich of entertaining scenes that kept entertaining for a couple of minutes until they were hastily woven to the next scene. Left me a feeling that I watched about 2 hours worth of trailers.

As for the fanservice, it wasn't as shameless in it as Episode VII but at least it tried.
