Having quit the birdsite I've had to get back to using RSS readers. Fortunately, Feedly is still around although it's not free. It's limit of 100 feeds is still more than enough for me.
Now I'm interested in good tech newsletters. Are there any? Very likely. Shovel them at my direction. 📡
@nikoheikkila Low Tech Magazine is great and has feeds by category.
@nikoheikkila Oh, if the site is down that is by design. It runs on solar power and goes down if there isn't enough sun.
@jonne Definitely we should have an eco-Mastodon instance working the same way.
Thanks for the recommendation.
@nikoheikkila I'm not sure federation is built to survive that.
@nikoheikkila I prefer Inoreader to Feedly personally, it's an overall better experience (though I'm basing that on the fact Inoreader has desktop notifications where Feedly has none). It also has a limit of 150 feeds for the free version.
@ryan659 Looks good too. My preferences are basically nice & clean content layout and mobile apps. Can you import your feeds from a file into Inoreader?
@nikoheikkila You can! It imports either from Feedly or from an OPML file, at least on desktop. The mobile app's really clean too in my opinion.
