For the next figurative billion hours, I'll be checking out #LinuxGameJam2022 submissions on stream. Come see a bunch of games made in 10 days on/for #Linux twitch.tv/valiantcheese/

Doing a bonus #LinuxGameJam2022 stream with @kubecz3k this morning, playing submissions and discussing game development! twitch.tv/valiantcheese/

@Cheeseness @kubecz3k I've watched the video from yesterday on Twitch, and again would like to thank you both for the review. To answer some of the guestions: game is written in Rust using "crossterm" library (it handles terminal across multiple OSes, so I can compile this for Mac or Windows just in case). The ASCII art in the menu is taken from ascii website and modified by me to fit the screen (it didn't list an author). The game has 12 events, which have hardcoded percentages.

@Cheeseness @kubecz3k Also, I had more "cool" ideas, but didn't have time. For example, I didn't want 0 sanity to end the game. I was thinking you could go negative, and the more negative you go, the letters from messages would disappear, or different letters would cover part of the message.

@mr_oova @kubecz3k Working out which cool ideas to keep and which to let go of in order to make a deadline is one of the most valuable learning opportunities from a jam, IMO. You did good :)
