Does anyone else have a lingering anxiety that pour-over coffeepots are really a step backwards for our civilization?
@meredith_matthews my understanding is that in the 1940s and 1950s, instant coffee was seen as very high-tech and modern. it's what you drink if you're "with it"
it's nice that even though this mindset has stuck around in other areas (mobile apps, etc) we've gotten back the ability to judge coffee at least based on what tastes good instead of its tech.
