Hey, team lead for the Standards Foundation infrastructure team here.

The server that handles XSF web (xmpp.org, wiki.xmpp.org, xmpp.net) and chatrooms (muc.xmpp.org) went down early on 2020-03-20. The cause is currently unknown, we are awaiting a response from the hosting provider.

Meanwhile we have already restored wiki.xmpp.org onto a new server from our latest nightly backups, and other services will follow as soon as possible.

Please be kind to everyone in these difficult and disruptive times!

Website (xmpp.org) is now up and running, including the XSF blog and XEPs. XMPP service itself to follow!

Hopefully final update here, muc.xmpp.org is back online!

The rooms should reappear on search.jabber.network/ shortly. Meanwhile the list at xmpp.org/community/chat.html can be used as an overview of the primary rooms hosted there.

@bluszcz thanks for the offer, we're currently good! Our email lists and our DNS remained up, which helps with coordination and migrating services.

Just a matter of installing packages and getting the affected services running again now.
