"With 94, you’ll find a selection of six fun seasonal Colorways (available for a limited time only)."

Absolutely fuck all the way off, #firefox.
Remember when it was the open browser, with loads of extensively-customizing themes?
Good times.

"On Windows, there will now be fewer interruptions because Firefox won’t prompt you for updates. Instead, a background agent will download and install updates even if Firefox is closed."

*Absolutely* fuck all the way off.
That's the thing that breaks opening new tabs on a regular basis if you've had it on, or have done updates on Linux while FF was running. :/

@LionsPhil I would hope that they are doing this the "right" way where they keep the old version around until you restart into the new one. That way you can continue opening tabs.

For example this issue doesn't occur on NixOS because the new Firefox is installed into a new path. It does occur on most distros since the Firefox installation is updated right underneath a running Firefox so there isn't much Firefox can do but not crash and report a nice error.

@kevincox It's hardly a "nice error" given it promptly drops anything you've opened on the floor (including any existing tabs you tried to navigate to somewhere else), and I've got approximately zero expectation from Mozilla do to things "the right way" any more.

It's honestly something that *Google* are currently outdoing them at creating a product that isn't in a state of constant frustrating churn.
