@jackbaty You shouldn't need this workaround if you are using the latest version of ox-hugo (it was fixed about 3 weeks back)!

@kaushalmodi I saw that it should no longer be needed, but in my case I still get the bad link error when exporting a subtree from a buffer that contains any org-roam links (id:xxxx). Doesn't matter if the link is valid or not.

You probably just need to update the org-id-extra-files list variable.

@kaushalmodi Well I never would have found that on my own, so thanks! :). Indeed setting org-id-extra-files to include org-roam-directory prevents the error as long as there actually are no bad links in the file. That'll work. Thanks again.
