anytone using hexchat here on linux and successfully logged into the libre emacs IRC channel?
I can't get the SASL authentication right even though I followed instructions on: https://libera.chat/guides/hexchat

Well ok, but how do I connect to register, if my account that was registered doesn't work?
same thing on web client. This is probably my VPN at work.
...ok. So it seems the only way to get this working, per Libre, is to register from an IP range they don't block and then use SASL that way.
What I don't understand is what happened with my old registration. I guess it expired...?
