Huh, interesting, DigitalOcean is adding a free hosting service for static sites, which automatically pulls updates from a github repo.
If I understand this correctly, you can just pay a domain, and have the rest of your website for free.

@jon_valdes does it have advantages over github pages?
(yes, gh pages allows custom domains. yes, also HTTPS via let's encrypt)

No idea! And I didn't even know that about github pages, so...

@jon_valdes I'm using it for dhewm3.org and blog.gibson.sh, pretty happy with it - just pushing to git to update a website is convenient :)

@jon_valdes Looks like their getting into JAMStack/Netlify territory. Not sure how this will play out, but things might definitely get interesting.
