Sometimes I think programming hasn't advanced at all since I was 8 and I got my first computer. It's still a bunch of text in a file after all.
But then I remember how that text used to look like and how it looks now and hey, at least I don't want to gouge my eyeballs with a spoon anymore!
Also, qbasic vs rust. We _have_ advanced a bit
@jon_valdes And that's some pretty modern BASIC code, as BASICs go
@mogwai_poet oh yes, I got relatively late to the home computer thing (in 1992, with a second-hand PC from 1987), but VESA video modes were still waaaay better than what I had back then. My computer was MCGA, a very short-lived "standard" that was only used in 2 IBM computer models xD
@jon_valdes Ah right, and despite all VGA's improvements, 99% of VGA apps just used the MCGA compatible mode anyway
@jon_valdes I can't write any rust... But I like that font, what is it? Thanks
