Listening to an interview with @Gargron on podcast. It's really good! They talk about the early history of Mastodon, how federation works, and what's so exciting about . I love seeing these sorts of publicity efforts - let's grow the !

Was in the middle of this episode when I decided to give mastodon another shot lol. Pretty interested in how federation works, never really took the time to look into it. It sounds a bit like an in between step from what we have now and what block chain is hoping to be if I understand correctly.

Any good resources for federation you’ve seen?

@kaihuang724 @Gargron gives a pretty good overview. Look for the "How do instances connect?" section.

@jdormit @Gargron I'm about 2/3 of the way through the episode and I'm really enjoying it. Eugen thanks for doing the interview.
