Is it possible to configure the Touch Bar to display keys that are broken on the actual butterfly keyboard? That could at least make the Touch Bar sort of useful.

15 years ago I sold a Summicron 35mm ASPH and I’ve regretted it every day since. Today, I corrected that mistake and I’m very excited. I’ve always thought of this as the perfect kit for me.

I have a hard time distinguishing between features that are just "neato" and those that are actually useful.

Does anyone know of a way to use Emacs for some things but without then immediately trying to use it for everything? That’s where things go wrong for me.

Oh great, Cloudron just added the interesting Grav “flat-file” CMS as an app. That means I’m only one click away from trying yet another CMS.

4x5 Self-portrait (2020)

Killing time on a Sunday. It’s tricky making selfies with the big camera. Also hair and dust. Crown Graphic 4x5, HP5+ in HC-110.

I’ve settled on HC-110 for developing my black and white negatives. Easy to mix and lasts forever in concentrate. I also prefer putting chemicals in special bottles because it looks cool :)

Software becomes “bloated” the minute it includes a feature I don’t need.

I get to have lunch with these two knuckleheads at Founders at least once a week.
