I’ve used a number of server monitoring services but for the past year I’ve been very happy with the price/feature/ease of updown.io/. I had a support issue recently and they responded immediately and made changes in just a few hours.

I just changed the theme (“doom-one”) and font (Iosevka) in Emacs and I’m suddenly like, “Ooh, what’s this shiny new app?”. I sometimes need to trick myself.

The end of a year is so wonderfully overwhelming. I want to both finish everything and start new things..all at the same time. It feels like a panic attack, but in a good way.

I can feel myself getting pulled, inexorably, back into all-in Emacs. Just spent a couple hours moving my Emacs init file into an org-mode document, a la “Literate Programming”. That’s a sign.

It’s only been an hour with the UHK, but I feel like it may have been a mistake. I can remap every single key on every layer so I’m working on that first. Maybe 60% keyboards aren’t my thing.

I would normally wait until January 1st to start a new journal, but Christmas morning works too.

It’s Christmas eve, guess it’s time to put these two away.
