Today #Tutanota has been added to https://nomoregoogle.com/ πͺ π This is awesome as it will help spread the word about Tutanota as a secure email alternative to #Gmail. And while at it, make sure to get our Android app from @fdroidorg to fully get rid of #Google! ππ #privacy

Some twitter v. Mastodon tips for all of the lovely new tooters:
When you like a tweet on twitter, a swarm of AIs spin into action, analysing every aspect of the tweet and trying so desperately to find the matching tweet to show you next that will keep you scrolling, lest their masters decommission them in favor of a new version.
When you fave a toot on Mastodon, there aren't any AIs; you just made another human being across the world feel nice.
Programming is great because you can just take that huge messy chuck from the middle of your function and hide it away under a new name in a new function and feel good about how you "cleaned up" the original function by abstracting the internals.
This is exactly how I used to clean my room as a kid - I'd refactor all the junk on the floor to be under my bed. Boom - problem solved.
Remember that it's almost always management/owners who push devs to deliver half-finished software under arbitrary deadlines.
Imagine if engineers were told to deliver half a bridge? Software devs are asked to do this on the regular; only the invisibility/complexity of software has made it possible to get away with that for so long.
