It has been: _0_ days since I've glanced at the daily headlines and shouted "are you fucking serious"

Related: I pulled two dead Transcend RAM modules in my Mac Pro that have lifetime warranties. Will be interesting to see what I get back from the RMA, considering they're nearly a decade old at this point.

Kind of surprised to see that an OWC SSD (in an actively cooled desktop) died on me in a shorter timeframe than an older OCZ Vertex 2 (crammed in a laptop). I thought the early OCZs were supposed to be notorious for failures!

Still don't understand how gays aren't considered a protected class. They fit the definition just as well as any other minority group.

I've been developing projects on Raspberry Pis for years and I've somehow missed the wiringpi project. The `gpio readall` command is super valuable if for no other reason then to show the physical/named pin mappings.

My father would have never allowed me to bring my gun into school and I knew better than to bring a weapon into an environment like that.

I no longer own guns. The world has changed. I no longer live in the country either. It's time to move America forward.

I'll note that I paid for good money for Tweetbot on iOS and MacOS in the past.

Yes you have to purchase them separately. And pay for upgrades.

@himay Use MAC instead and you can create a group for monitoring purposes that can see everything while restricting it for normal users.

kldload mac_seeotheruids.ko

security.bsd.see_other_uids=1
security.bsd.see_other_gids=1
security.mac.seeotheruids.enabled=1
security.mac.seeotheruids.specificgid_enabled=1
security.mac.seeotheruids.specificgid=280

Now everything in my group 280 can see everything for monitoring purposes.

Mama Bluebird is sitting on her nest now, if you want to take a peek. I imagine we'll have a 3rd egg soon. twitch.tv/tendigits

Process & thread monitoring with netdata on FreeBSD doesn't work with security.bsd.see_other_{u,g}ids set to 0. Obviously, once you think about it.

Related: it is interesting to see how *much* more information netdata scrapes on a Linux machine vs a FreeBSD machine. Not sure how much is plugin-related, but some is definitely system security related.

portsnap fetch has been crawling on my Vultr VMs for the past couple months. Starting to wonder if their IPs are getting filtered/throttled at the portsnap server. 😕
