Kind of surprised to see that an OWC SSD (in an actively cooled desktop) died on me in a shorter timeframe than an older OCZ Vertex 2 (crammed in a laptop). I thought the early OCZs were supposed to be notorious for failures!

Process & thread monitoring with netdata on FreeBSD doesn't work with security.bsd.see_other_{u,g}ids set to 0. Obviously, once you think about it. #facepalm
Related: it is interesting to see how *much* more information netdata scrapes on a Linux machine vs a FreeBSD machine. Not sure how much is plugin-related, but some is definitely system security related.

portsnap fetch has been crawling on my Vultr VMs for the past couple months. Starting to wonder if their IPs are getting filtered/throttled at the portsnap server. 😕
