It turns out YouTube are now banning content that falls under "Instructional hacking and phishing: Showing users how to bypass secure computer systems"

Big oof.

The year is 5019. Humans, as we know them, are long gone. The Earth is inhabited chiefly by advanced, sapient machines.

For legacy reasons, everyone's name starts with "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible;".

@lynnesbian Please settle an argument for me:

What has more legacy complexity: The imperial system of measurements, or Windows?

Foundit, but ouch, GitLab.

I'm not interested in creating yet another account in a new GitLab instance (and I personally dislike GitLab) so my pain point is that whenever refreshes, it ignores my language choice from the navbar and reset to the browser default language. Meh.

If someone who can fix it sees it, it might get fixed, or not. I don't care that much.

I'm seeing a lot of discussion over Google's use of an outdated Polymer.js version for YouTube, and its performance under Firefox.

I have some pieces of context:

1. This version of Polymer used the Shadow DOM v0 API.
2. Firefox did not implement the Shadow DOM v0 API, but Chrome did.
3. Firefox and Chrome (and Safari) now both support Shadow DOM v1.
4. This version of Polymer didn't use Shadow DOM v1, as it was developed when the Shadow DOM proposal was still a work-in-progress.
