@smays I've long been motivated to use technology for higher purpose. Spent nine years of my life doing that as my day job.

It can take many forms. It can be using the medium to organize social change. It can be using it to learn together. There are many, many options.

@chris I'm not talking about forcing anything. I'm talking about inspiring through example. In fact, if anything, there may be a little too much forcing as is on this network.

@chris Yeah, otherwise it just comes off as preachy.

That said, I think it's worth occasionally talking about purpose and how to explicitly drive towards social good. It's a tricky thing.
