There is a book about Xerox called "Fumbling The Future" that talks about how Xerox invented a lot of advances in computing and then failed to bring them to market.

Just found out the Private Rail Car Deering has cancelled all of their upcoming Trips due to Amtrak's inability to provide "parking space" for the private car at Union Station or the Ivy City Yard (Both in DC). Given recent tussles between the Private Car owners and AMTRAK (including an OIG report supporting the owners point of view on impact/costs) I'm a bit suspicious.
