#36c3 #Android apps (#c3nav, #Fahrplan / #Schedule, WiFi setup) are now available via the #CCC #FDroid repo. Add it to your F-Droid app via the following link or the attached QR code:
Another chance to get stickers will be at #FOSDEM in February in Brussels, btw. 🙂
Following last years tradition we'll have a #fdroid meetup at #36C3 on the day 1 at 1400.
Last year we had a room with 12 seats and 60 minutes, this year we'll have a lot more space at #cbase and 90 minutes 🙂.
There will be lots of stickers. See you all there.
Ok, I just found this game on f-droid https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.unciv.app/ and I have to say that it is awesome !!
I started playing one hour ago, it's smooth and I totally feel playing Civilization ... on my phone ... with a free-software ! <3 I don't know yet how the game behave when we go further in time and that there is more stuff to deal with, but for the moment I'm totally impressed. One of the best apps on f-droid in my opinion!
After a steady increase in adoption over the past year, TLSv1.3 adoption just took a pretty big drop. Anyone have any data or ideas about why? https://kjur.github.io/www/sslpulsetrend/index.html#proto
I'm in "This Week in Matrix" today!
We are talking about my Prototype fund project building a replacement for google cloud messaging on android. https://matrix.org/blog/2019/11/22/this-week-in-matrix-2019-11-22/
We ran an informal poll of #OpenStreetMap people on several #Telegram channels to determine their **primary** navigation/mapping app that consumes OSM data. It's very likely that some people are using multiple apps, but the poll only asked them to choose one.
Impossible to mention all apps that but the popular apps were:
* OsmAnd 58% - both official and the #FDroid version
* Maps.Me 35% - including the fork on #FDroid called "Maps"
and a sprinkling of votes for #MagicEarth, #Mapy #LocusMaps
You can finally donate to #Gadgetbridge again.
After more than a year we bit the bullet and re-enabled donations on liberapay by complying with what had to be done to make that work. We were already almost dried up and were unable buy devices we wanted to support. To make #Gadgetbridge even better please consider to donate.
There are some very nice designs for an icon for forum.f-droid.org: https://forum.f-droid.org/t/upgrade-of-f-droid-logo-icon-for-2019/7412/22
We'd love to see more feedback there so we can get one of them approved as the official forum icon.
Very cool feature by @fdroidorg
We all need more of this air gapped friendly functionally
I now have my app's source code mirrored at @codeberg. Besides that, it is available at @fdroidorg and primarily hosted at #notabug. I also have another GitLab mirror. With that, I believe I have multiple locations it can be obtained from that won't simply take it down due to claimed trademark infringements that really have no legal basis¹.
(Contrary to Google Play.)

What do you think of the new design of timelines with the lite version of #Fedilab?
Please do not count this as a "full stop", but rather the "start of a grace period" and "ringing of the alarm bell": Repomaker is not *yet* unpublished, so someone please step in before that happens!
(wanted 2 edit this toot but unfortunately deleted the otherone 😱 at 378 boosts & 70 fav)
Calling out to the Mastodon community again: famous @fdroidorg Repomaker is looking for a new maintainer (and contributors). Should be familiar with F-Droid, Python, Django.
Please help keeping it alive!
Volunteers go to https://gitlab.com/fdroid/repomaker/issues/234 – others please boost, as usual 😉 Thanks!
