I used to associate the xfce Desktop for Linux with low powered machines but it's a really nice desktop to run. Incredibly smooth and responsive. On a high powered machine the responsiveness of everything is amazing. Most distros when booted into it will start with a total RAM usage of somewhere between 250 and 350 MB.

@codepuppy Yeah me too... at the moment. my 10 year old P.C. with 4 gigs of RAM is super responive when using XFCE. Going to stick with it for the time being.
