I have a DHCP server that's been doing DHCP since 2006. It's been migrated to a VM, but the original server predates the iPhone.

I ran a script that listed all the leases in the dhcpd.leases file, and there are leases that predate the iPhone, too. Pretty much every lease has persisted, even long-dead ones!

Talk about baggage... let it go, Elsa.

Repeat after me - Smart TVs are not a smart investment. Get a good screen and use a set-top device: Android TV update puts home-screen ads on multi-thousand-dollar Sony Smart TVs arstechnica.com/?post_type=pos

those developer figures are from a stackoverflow survey by the way as quoted by wikipedia.
I still think linux use on the desktop is under-reported but no proof.

"I don’t think a setting hidden so deep in the OS  will go very far in giving Windows 10 Home users a feeling of control over their operating system."

Windows 10 is Microsoft's OS, not its users. I think that anyone who's serious about their productivity should ditch it without a second thought. Only appreciate home usage is games.

Treat windows like a game, you won't expect much of it, and you won't get pissed.

So what do you think, is 24 hours enough time to install Windows updates? 🙄

Installed on my home laptop.... really brilliant system.

@tindall I enjoyed Ubuntu MATE 18.04 ! I also like Xubuntu. I've also tried Kubuntu and the new KDE Plasma looks incredibly nice, but a bit too fancy and graphics heavy for my work and personal computer usage. #mate #xubuntu #kubuntu

Looking for for deep focus? Struggling with maintaining the zone due to external noise, or maybe the music of your choice is too distracting?

Go for Kangding Ray's 2006 album "stabil". It's not just good, it's good enough.

Gentle glitch, repeatable enough to enforce focus, variable enough not to be boring. Just maybe skip the title song if you're sensitive to high frequencies.

So, I just signed up for a account, and it has automatically suggested that I subscribe to r/programming, r/linux, r/Bitcoin, r/dataisbeautiful, and r/archlinux.

There is absolutely no way that is random, and that's fucking creepy.

Because of model issues I couldn't use Django for my latest project.

I've been using Masonite for a week... totally awesome framework.
