Got my clone written in working pretty well now. Sadly the whole stack for Rust is very buggy and made some design decisions that I don't really agree with.

So here we are, started building my own protocol built on top of QUIC and MessagePack, to create a super lightweight and flexible span collector (especially from client side).

Although, it's still completely lacking docs still. Basically you just compile + run it (pre-compiled binaries coming soon). So far no config needed at all. Then you can just use the same Jaeger connectors on the default ports.
