Ultimately Mastodon's killer feature is that it's a public good that someone built because they thought it needed to exist and not a startup someone built because they wanted to get rich quick selling other people's data.
Has anyone found a way to use Signal Messenger with any browser other than Chrome? Seems odd me to make a service that is so rooted in keeping user's data private and then to only make it available for a browser that exists solely to mine user data for advertising purposes.
Anyone else having issues activating 2FA?
Trying to be more aware of privacy and make better choices for keeping my data private. Trying to avoid Google and Facebook. Switched to the Brave browser and made better cloud choices. Any other suggestions?
