To contemplate technology only in terms of a fast-changing and eternally-growing free market economy is shortsighted.
The features -or, problems- of the free market are not necessarily problems for technology; unless we can't take the free market out of the equation.
On top of that, if we rule out minorities who think differently -and they want to run their own servers- we reach conclusions that seem strong. However, it is just our own premises that made them seem strong.
