A great lesson on digital sovereignty.

According to the updated lockdown measures, the whole of the secondary schools in Greece offer classes only online. Well, that's in theory.

After a couple of hours of operation, the remote education platform went down.

Platform? Cisco Webex.

Instead of enhancing the already existing public infrastructure (consisting of BBB, among others), with solutions and create local jobs, the govt "accepted the donation" of cisco and opted for webex.

Well done!

Ohhh, that's what the university here uses (Lyon, France).
The teacher used a Jitsi, 25 people and desktop sharing, and it worked with only a little lag.
