Since I started that display survey at https://github.com/deshipu/displays/wiki I got myself a few display ideas to test, and they are giving me ideas for new projects. Right now working on a minimal #Arduboy-compatibile thing with UC1701 and SAMD21 — should be cheap enough for a conference badge.
Of course I will make it run CircuitPython and see how that works.
