On being "lazy" about software freedom:
Everyone lives a full life. Not everyone gets the same opportunity to pick what fills their life, though. People are busy. They have things they like to do or find easy, & things that are unpleasant or difficult.
People whose life is filled differently than yours, who have different priorities than yours, aren't any more lazy than you are lazy for not picking a more compassionate way to talk about the challenges standing in the way of software freedom.
I'm generally trying to avoid othering people and their priorities as "lazy" in the first place.
I don't know, but seeking out a compassionate and respectful way to understand why people do or don't do things seems like it might be more effective? That is, if we think some change or accomodation is even necessary in the first place, which maybe it isn't.
What a dreadful life if everyone had to do all the same things the same way at the same level of skill and enthusiasm and effort.
