I found this podcast with Tom Dale talking about Ember version 3 and how Ember's philosophy compares to other JS frameworks very interesting. There's a lot in Ember's philosophy that's reminiscent of what I like about Django.
It's also unusual for a JS framework in that it's not thrashing away re-solving language agnostic problems that have been solved by other frameworks.
