Really unhappy I have to take an unscheduled day off tomorrow to move when my lease starts today and my welcome letter from the management says my move in date is today.
This move has been the most stressful one to date.
Hired movers to help today and had to cancel. Now I’m doing the whole move on my own tomorrow.
Worth noting, I know theres another subset of those who are at a much higher risk still which does color some of the thoughts around continuing stricter rules.
I have found that the right wanted to pretend COVID was over from the start, or wanted to end restrictions far too early.
But I feel theres a huge portion on the left (read: liberal) who don't want the restrictions to ever end and actually enjoy the new world of greater order from the government.
Not sure what to make of it, but I still see arguments to keep schools closed, those upset concerts are taking place, etc.
Just thinking out loud here, but it seems weird to me.
And now they want an additional $25 to create a “pet profile” for our cat. Without any guarantee we will get the place. Wtf. After this it will be $105 just to apply.
The reality that I might be priced out of living in San Diego is scary. There isn't anywhere else in CA worth living that is cheaper.
I thought I would live here forever, but 3100 for a 2 bed 1 bath, with a family of 4, single income isn't doable any longer.
Not sure what we'll do next, but being given 60 days to move means we have to make some quick decisions.
Also, my awesome job, though remote, is CA only....
