@danarel Brave’s search technology stack’s precursor — Cliqz — used to mine browsing history and page metrics from its browser product users to power search. With all the privacy buzz-words in the world attached, of course. Brave Search doesn’t do that. Yet. But it’s the same method used by Yandex, Microsoft, and Google for their market leading search products. It wouldn’t be at all surprising if Brave followed suite. Data is how you build a modern search engine.
@danarel what do you use in general almost all of the search engines out there have something to hide. My test would be I search for net, ruby and eclipse and I don’t get anything from programming world as the first result. None passed they know something about me.
